Perm rod curls are cute, sexy, manageable, and perfect for any occasion! You ladies have been loving perm rod curls, and we have taken notice! If you are ready to get beautiful, effortless, long lasting curls, follow these easy steps!

    1. Cleanse Hair

Shampoo and condition your hair with tgin’s Moisture Rich Sulfate Free Shampoo, and Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner. Make sure you hair is thoroughly cleaned. Rinse out your shampoo, then apply the conditioner. Once you hair is conditioned rinse, and dry your hair using a terry cloth towel, or teeshirt.

    2. Detangle

UnknownDetangle your hair from ends to root using a denman brush or wide tooth comb. Be very gentle with your hair. Most detangling should be done while hair is being washed, but it is important to make sure your hair is completely detangled before moving on.

    3. Stretch

In order to get the best curls possible, you need to loosen your natural hair texture. Apply a small amount of tgin’s daily butter cream, and then follow up with our twist and define cream. Once the products are applied, begin twisting your hair as if you were doing a twist out. You can then either leave the twist in overnight, or sit under the dryer. We prefer leaving it in overnight to use the least amount of heat.

    4. Brush out

The next morning, or after your hair is primarily dry you want to take down the twist, and then gently brush your hair out. Be sure to start from the ends, and carefully brush your hair  until the curl pattern is loosened.

    5.  Start Rolling

sr1011_largeAs you are rolling your hair, apply a small amount of tgin’s Argan oil to each section. This will add sleekness, and shine. How you roll your hair, depends on the style you want to achieve. If you want smaller tighter curls, you will use smaller perm rods, and bigger perm rods for bigger curls. If you want very stretched, sleek curls, you will want to have your hair straighter than for big fluffy curls! Once you roll your hair you can either sit under a hooded dryer until your hair is completely dry, and the curls are set, which is usually an hour or two. Or, you can simply leave the rods in overnight.
