The Breast Cancer Prevention Diet you Didn’t Know you Needed

Did you know that disease is often closely linked to diet? The foods we eat can often feed diseases as well as lead to disease. Fortnuately our diet can help decrease the risk of certain cancers as well as aid in the healing process for those who have or are at risk for breast cancer. Here are some healthy foods that can help to prevent the risk of cancer.

    1.Blueberries

Blueberries have been known to help fight and treat cancer. Blueberries contain antioxidants, anti-inflammatory, and anti-bacterial properties. This superfood is packed with antioxidants and has been known to significantly improve the efficacy of radiation therapy.

    2. Peaches

Studies have shown that consuming a few peaches a day might help inhibit breast cancer. The antioxidants found in peaches can help protect the DNA against damage that can produce breast cancer.

    3. Dark green leafy vegetables

Dark green leafy vegetables have been known to help treat and prevent breast cancer. Studies have shown that eating a few servings of dark green leafy vegetables a day can help treat and prevent the risk of breast cancer.

    4. Healthy fats

Healthy fats such as avocado, olive oil, and nuts contain fatty acids that reduce inflammation, which can contribute to breast cancer.

    5. What to avoid

It’s important to avoid foods that can “feed cancer”. While a drink with friends every now and then is sometimes “needed” try to avoid alcohol, especially in excess. You also want to stay away from sugar, meat, and dairy.
