Tell us a little bit about yourself.
My name is Tiana Stirkens and I am from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I am a stay at home mom of an amazing 8-month-old baby girl and 2-year-old son. When I’m not tending to their every need, you will find me on my YouTube channel NaturallyDopeT making natural hair videos, baby hair care videos, and videos about mommy life.
What is your favorite tgin product and how do you use it?
The Green Tea Super Moist Leave In Conditioner! I literally can use this with any hairstyle I choose to wear. I use it under the Curl Bomb Moisturizing Styling Gel for Wash and Go’s and under the Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer for a braid out or twist out. I know my hair is always going to be super moisturized when I use this leave in conditioner.
How long have you been natural and what advice would you give to others transitioning to natural hair?
I have only been fully natural for a year and 2 months and my advice to newly naturals is to embrace and listen to your hair and your curls. If your hair feels dry, moisturize it. If you have a lot of split ends or single strand knots then it’s probably time for a trim.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
The one thing I can’t live without would be my kids. Even though they are both so young their personalities make me smile and laugh so much already.
