tgin’s CEO, Chris-Tia Donaldson, is honored to serve as the Keynote Speaker for Chicago’s South Side Pitch this Thursday, October 1. Chris-Tia will be talking about the disruption of the black hair care market over the past fifteen years, and how it’s easier than ever before to start a business in the Chicago area.
South Side Pitch began last year as a way for several development-focused community organizations to prove that innovation doesn’t just happen in River North. It happens on the South Side, too!
On October 1, 2014, we hosted the very first South Side Pitch at the Chicago Innovation Exchange. More than 150 people attended to see the shark-tank-style showcase of 5 entrepreneurs. You can read more about those pitch contestants here. Since pitching their businesses last October, these 5 companies have collectively raised more than $1,000,000 to support their endeavors.
