Recently, tgin and our CEO, Chris-Tia Donaldson were asked to participate in the Natural Hair Meetup at the Oak Park Public Library!

While we had an amazing time just being invited to the event, our CEO, Chris-Tia, was asked to be one of the featured speakers.  Since it was October, and Chris-Tia is a breast cancer survivor, she chose to speak about her journey:

In August of 2015, Chris-Tia Donaldson struck a deal to have her popular line of natural hair care products carried in Sally Beauty stores. Three months later, at the young age of 36,  she would be diagnosed with breast cancer. In this session, Chris-Tia talks about the fight to save her life and the company she loved, how her diagnosis changed her for the better, her hair loss journey on her road to recovery, and how life’s trials and triumphs can be our greatest teacher.
