This month is all about pumpkin! From pies, to lattes, smoothies and now hair masks! October is the perfect month to utilize pumpkin in as many ways as possible.  Pumpkins are very rich in vitamins A, C and K. Pumpkin is also full of potassium which is not only good for the body but also helps stimulate hair growth. In addition to pumpkin this recipe also calls for honey which draws moisture to the hair, olive oil, which is rich in vitamin e, protects and cures against hair loss and has anti bacterial properties, and  finally avocado, which aids in hair growth and nourishment.

Ingredients

1 tablespoon of honey

1 avocado

1 small pumpkin

1 tablespoon of olive oil

1 tablespoon of coconut oil (optional)

Directions

Blend the pumpkin, avocado and coconut oil until you get a creamy consistency. Add the honey and olive oil. Apply to damp hair. Ensure that your ends are well coated. Leave on hair for 15-30 minutes. Heat is optional. Rinse hair, apply leave in conditioner.

If you’re short on time and still want to have a great deep conditioner, pick up TGIN’S Honey Miracle Hair Mask, which is excellent at detangling and adding extra moisture to dry hair!
