Twist outs are one of the more popular hair styles for naturals. If you’ve been natural for a while and have noticed some growth, your twist out is probably full of life and gets a lot of heads turning too! But twist outs are kind of like that friend who comes over, eats all the food, and then just dips! For whatever reason, a lot of women can’t seem to keep their twist out from twisting out. Not to fret. tgin has your solution. Here are some quick tips and videos to help make your twist out last. 1. Start with a great cream For best results, we recommend using tgin Twist and Define Cream on damp hair. Make sure to use a rat tooth seamless comb to make sure the product is spread evenly and along the entire stand. If the hair begins to dry, mist untwisted section with water again before applying  more product. 2. Make smaller twists For the natural newbies, who don’t have that much hair to begin with, this may seem a bit much. But this is a sure fire way to help make curl definition and also help make sure your twist out last longer.  You should be aiming to create twist the size of a pencil. 3. Apply an oil or pomade before untwisiting By appplying a natural oil or pomade to your twists while unraveling your twists will cut down on frizz. I personally love the tgin Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer, but you can also go with the tgin Argan Replenishing Hair + Body Serum. Both are great and will leave you with a soft and shiny twist out. 4. Refreshing the twist out If your twist out already looks as though its on its way out, and you don’t feel like going through the whole process again, twist your hair into larger sections at night using the tgin Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer and unravel your hair in the morning.  tgin Butter Cream Daily Moisturizer will leave you with a soft fluffy twist out and wont cause product build up. 5. Sleep with a Satin Bonnet  Sleeping with a silk bonnet will not only help minimize frizz and breakage, but also help to maintain the shape of your style. 6. Twist on Wet Hair Doing a twist out on wet hair  with a cream-based product, like tgin Twist and Define Cream, will help you to  seal in moisture. By styling your hair when it is wet, you are also able to lock in definition for a longer period of time, which means your twists will last longer. 7. Untwist when Dry Hair Make sure your hair is completely dry before taking out your twists. If you’re looking for a less-defined, fluffy look, you’ll want to take your twists out before they completely dry. However, for a more defined look that will last longer, you’ll want to be sure that your twists are fully dry before unraveling them. There you have it ladies. It’s just that easy. Six quick simple tips and one bonus. Follow these rules, and you’ll be golden!
