2018 American Black Film Festival Honors Natural Hair WInners

Last night the Beverly Hilton Hotel was filled with our favorite actors and actresses and all of their melanin magic. In honor of the recent huge success of Black Panther, many of the attendees came dressed in gorgeous African inspired prints.

1.Dewanda Wise 

Star of Spike Lee’s She’s Gotta Have It, Dewanda Wise rocked a bun with a curly pomadour which perfectly complimented her fun dress.

2. Angel Bassett

The Queen of Wakanda herself Miss Angela Bassett rocked a curly protective style full of gorgeous tendrils that went perfect with her very Wakandaish gown.

3. Issa Rae & Yvonne Orji

Issa Rae and her Insecure best Yvonne Orji both looked fab. Issa rocked a beautiful and bold low curly ponytail while co-star Yvonne rocked a protective bob!

4. Tiffany Haddish

Gorgeous breakout star of Girl’s Trip and veteran comedian, Tiffany Haddish rocked a cute slicked back ponty to go with her sexy gown.

5. Tracee Ellis Ross 

Of course we couldn’t leave out our fave! Tracee Ellis Ross rocked a simple and chic tied back bun to go with her amazing gown.
