Written by a Harvard graduate, Thank God I’m Natural: The Ultimate Guide to Caring for and Maintaining Natural Hair is a must-read for any black woman who has suffered hair loss or breakage caused by relaxers — or has grown tired of spending thousands of dollars and her Saturday afternoons frying her kinky tresses into submission. Thank God I’m Natural offers up to date information — and a plethora of tips to help women break free from wigs, weaves, and damaging chemical processes, and was recently declared the “Natural Hair Bible” by Essence Magazine. While there is no shortage of information on this topic to be found on the Internet, Thank God I’m Natural is the most comprehensive natural hair guide on the market today, and the book black women need now more than ever before.
Love this book so much and cant stop reading it over and over. I has helped me love my hair even more then I did before. I have done every hairstyle you can think of and the best one I loved was my Natural Afro. I've done the Big chop twice and I have no regrets about it. I haven't had the chance to try the product but I will for sure this time around. READ THIS BOOK LADIES
I bought your book for my mom and me as a Mother s Day gift. She is transitioning her gray hair and was spending endless hours looking for sites on natural hair care. We have been reading the book together as we journey to grow healthy natural hair together. You book is a must read! Look forward to seeing you in DC/Baltimore.
Chris-Tia it was so great meeting you at the book signing. I purchased two books and my mom has been reading hers. She loves it! Thanks for being so warm, welcoming, and candid in your discussion and for making it interactive. I m looking forward to future projects and more from TGIN. Great pics by the way, thanks for posting and letting people see the natural curlies represent the DMV. Much success!
I m in the UK and I bought the book last month for my birthday I has been so far a hair saviour in many situations especially because of the excellent homemade recipes and its excelent just to have a quick look to the bad ingredients list or a cool hair style for the week.
I recently went natural after reading your book twice! I have a blog and I wanted to know if its ok to do a book review on TGIN. I dont know if i need written permission ahead of time. Please let me know if that is ok with you. BTW all my natural friends love your book. It s our natural hair bible! Please keep up the excellent work.
