10 FUN NATURAL AND PROTECTIVE HAIR TRENDS TO TRY IN 2019

It’s 2019! With every new year comes change often times, much needed change. Why not use this year to get creative with your hair? How long have you been rocking that same boring updo or wash n’ go? While those hairstyles can be quick and simple they can also become very boring when you rock them every single day. Get your new year off to a fresh start with a fresh new do! Here are 10 fun and trendy natural and protective styles to try this year.

1.Bantu knots

Bantu knots are definitely a classic style but how often do you keep your knots up and wear them out? Add a few jewels or thread to jazz up this classic style, and dont forget the hoop earrings!

2. Box braids bob

Another classic and always on trend style are box braids. Switch up the classic long style with a cute face framing bob.

3. Braided Wigs

Gone are the days of waiting in the salon chair for 12 hours, braided lace fronts offer the same styles for a quarter of the install time and the versatility of being able to wear a completely different style the very next day.

4. Colorful braids

How long have you been toying with the idea of getting a bold and fun color in your hair? Instead of committing to a dye job why not get some temporary damage free color with braids?

5. Shave it off

Short cuts are low maintenace, low cost and simply fun! If you’ve been wanting to cut your hair forever and are ready for a fresh start why not do it for the new year?

6. Partially Shaved Hair

Ok so you aren’t ready or willing to go all the way but would love to experience at least partially shaved hair. Cut off the back and get a fun design to jazz it up.

7. Try a wig

Rocking a wig doesn’t make you any less natural. Wigs are a great way to keep your natural hair protected while temporarily switching up your look.

8. Braided ponytail

Braided ponytails are sporty but sexy fun and flirty. Add a few jewels to spice yours up.

9. Natural braided ponytail

Switch up your basic ponytail with a few braids and threads or jewels for an added wow factor.

10. Faux locs

Faux locs have been dominating the natural hair scene for quite a few years now and for good reason. This style is not only low maintenance but also super stylish and easy to do.

How will you be rocking your hair for the new year?
