Wash day can be long, hard, and tiring. Each time you detangle one part of your hair, another seems to tangle back up. It seems like your hair is getting more matted than clean, you are drained, tired, and your skin is wrinkled by the time you get out of the shower! If this sounds like you, these steps are sure to help you minimize your wash time.

1. Have a Game Plan

Don’t let this be you. Try to keep products to a minimum, and only have what you are using out. If you seem to have difficulty each time you wash your hair, you need a game plan. Have everything you need ready, so there is no running in and out of the shower to get it. If you are doing a prepoo, make sure you have everything mixed and prepared, and have allowed it to sit in your hair the appropriate amount of time before you wash it out. Have your tgin Moisture Rich Shampoo for Natural Hair, replenishing conditioner for natural hair,  Honey Miracle Mask Deep Conditioner, wide tooth comb, if you are using one, and hair clips easily where you can grab them while washing your hair. If you’re looking for a product line, that you can use from start to finish, check out the tgin Moist Collection for Natural Hair.

2. Start Washing

Some women wash their hair in its natural state while others  prefer to wear their hair braided  while shampooing. This cuts on time, as well as makes the cleansing process easier. If you would like to try this method, simply section your hair in 4 to 5 sections, then braid detangled hair in loose braids. If you have done a prepoo treatment, make sure it is thoroughly rinsed out. To avoid matting, and tangling, your hair should be wet before applying your shampoo. Apply a small amount of tgin’s Moisture Rich Shampoo to your scalp and allow the suds to work their way down the length of your hair. Focus on your scalp. Carefully massage your scalp to ensure you are removing any dirt, oil, and residue.

3. Section your hair

If you are doing the braided hair method, your hair will already be braided into sections. If not, you want to section your hair with clips while you detangle. You can do this by using a wide tooth comb, or your fingers to section your hair in 4 to 5 sections. When you are ready to add conditioner to a section, remove it from the clips, add tgin’s replenishing conditioner, detangle with either your fingers, or a wide tooth comb, and twist the section. Move on to the next section, and repeat until your whole head is twisted in 4 to 5 sections with conditioner in the hair. If your hair is braided, you simply unbraid one braid, add conditioner, detangle, then twist. This method allows you to cut down on the time it takes to detangle hair that seems to get more tangled while washing.

4. Deep Condition

If you are deep conditioning, we recommend using our Honey Miracle Hair Mask. The honey Miracle Mask has a lot of slip, easily allows you to detangle your hair, and adds moisture to your hair. Basically, you can repeat the conditioner step. Once the conditioner is thoroughly rinsed from your hair, add our deep conditioner. Re-twist the hair if needed. You can add a plastic bag to your hair for extra softness, elasticity, and moisture. The Honey Miracle Mask can be left on for up to 30 minutes.

5. Rinse

Finally, you will want to remove the plastic bag and rinse your hair, from root to end. Be sure that your hair is thoroughly rinsed. Your hair will feel soft, detangled, and look beautiful. To keep this gorgeous look be sure to use tgin’s leave in products
