It’s that time of the year again! Halloween is almost here ladies and who doesn’t love getting dressed up for a fun night out? This year ditch the wig and flat irons and embrace your inner natural! Here are a few great costume ideas where natural hair works perfectly!
1. The Lion Queen
Show off your big beautiful mane and embrace your inner kitty, with a big fro. The bigger the better for this look ladies. You can achieve this look by doing a wash and go if your curls are loose you can also do a braid out or twist out or even by lightly  combing out your curls.
2. CleopatraÂ
We are loving this Cleopatra look! You can get this look with braids, locs, and twist. Simply add gold beads, which can be purchased at any craft store. To get the bang look curl your bangs in the front using rollers. If your hair is really long you can pen the curled bangs with bobby pens.
3. Foxy CleopatraÂ
This costume is fun and easy, heck you may be able to find some old bellbottoms in your closet. You can blow out your hair, or pic out your natural fro to achieve this 60’s foxy look. Red lipstick, winged liner and big hoops will go perfectly with this look.
4. Medusa
Why not throw on some green shadow and try out this medusa look? It’s very easy. Just purchase one of those cheap rubber fake snakes (usually found at the dollar store).You can attach the head to the bottom of your braid using rubber bands. You can also buy several, tie them together and create a head band adorning the crown of your head.
5. Golden GoddessÂ
Short hair ladies we haven’t forgotten about you! We love this golden goddess look. The key here is gold, gold, gold. Gold necklaces work great, think craft store and costume jewelry. You can even go a step further and use wash out gold hair coloring for a little pizzazz!
6. Lisa Dowell  From Coming to AmericaÂ
Keri Hilson effortlessly pulled off this look and you can too! This costume is perfect for couples and easy to rock!
7. Crazy EyesÂ
Are you a fan of Orange is the New Black? This look is extremely simple. Simply do a bantu knots in your hair and either find an old pair of sweats or scrubs around the house, or purchase a cheap pair at Walmart and you have channeled Crazy Eyes! The best part about this look is you can take it down the next day for a beautiful bantu knot out!
8. Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae is a music and fashion icon and you can be as well! This look is undeniably cute and requires very little effort!
9. African Queen
Keri Hilson is apparently the queen of halloween! Tuck your locs away for the night under this beautiful head wear and rock out all night queen!
10. Poetic JusticeÂ
If you are rocking poetic justice braids why not just pull off the whole look? It doesn’t get more simple than this ladies!
