Winter is not the only time that it is imperative to take care of your hair and skin. Those curls and that melanin need just as much love all year round. In the summer with your skin and hair being exposed to more sun and heat it is imperative that you keep it protected. Here are some of our favorite tips and tricks to give you glowing skin and healthy hair all year round!
1.Shea butter
Did you know shea butter had vitamins that provided natural sun protection? Be sure to use shea butter on your hair and skin this summer to keep it moisturized and well protected. Our Organic African Shea Butters come in a ton of yummy scents and are perfect for protecting the skin while leaving you smelling amazing!
2. Eat more life
By putting dead things in our bodies like meat and fish we often become drowsy, sluggish and just overall don’t feel as light. When you eat fresh fruits and vegetables in abundance your body doesn’t have to work as hard to digest food and can focus on sending minerals and nutrients to your hair, skin and nails giving you a glowing, more healthy appearance.
3. Sweat it out
A great way to get rid of toxins and reveal clear beautiful skin is to sweat. Sweating is one of a few ways to remove built up toxins in your body. So hit the gym, the hiking trail, go swimming, whatever you need to do to sweat, get it done girl!
4. Double up on H20
It’s super easy to get dehydrated in the summer. You’re out soaking up the sun, hopping from festivals to concerts, attending day parties and turning up at night. By drinking more water than usual you will keep yourself hydrated and avoid drying out your skin and hair.
5.Oil up
Our Tea Tree and Olive Oil Hair and Body Serum fights against dandruff, promotes hair growth, fights bacterial infections and moisturizes dry skin with ease. A little bit goes a long way with this oil, you literally only need a few drops to get adequate moisture.
