Summer may be over but that is no excuse for neglecting your body. Many women suffer with cellulite and it is by no means pretty. Cellulite is fat that has built up underneath the skin’s surface. Cellulite usually gathers in the hips, thighs, and butt region, causing a wrinkling effect in the skin. Though nature may not have given you the perfect cellulite free body, this recipe works wonders at diminishing the appearance of cellulite. Caffeine is known to tighten the skin, when applied directly to the skin which diminishes cellulite. If done over time you can be virtually cellulite free! Here are five easy steps to creating our favorite coffee cellulite scrub!

1. 1 Cup of Coffee

You can’t have a coffee scrub without coffee. This recipe calls for one cup of coffee grounds.

2. A Tablespoon of Sugar

No we aren’t making coffee here I promise! A tablespoon of sugar helps to exfoliate the skin, which makes it easier for the coffee to be absorbed.

3. 6 Tablespoons of Coconut Oil

You need about six tablespoons of coconut oil. If the coconut oil is hard you can melt it either in the microwave or on top of the stove. The coconut oil also helps the mixture penetrate inside the skin, as well as binds all of the ingredients together.

4. A Tablespoon of Olive oil

In addition to tightening properties, caffeine also has drying properties. The olive helps to add moisture taken from the caffeine back into your skin so you won’t be over dry when this process is complete.

5. Mix

Mix all ingredients together for your DIY coffee scrub.

6. Take a hot shower

Taking a hot shower will help to open pores. It is best if your skin is already exfoliated and you don’t have excess dry skin hanging around. Our DIY sugar scrub, works great for this.

7. Apply

Apply the mixture only to the areas that have cellulite. Massage the affected areas in circular motions and repeat.

For optimal results it is best to repeat this each time you take a shower. Women who did this on a consistent basis saw results in as little as two weeks!

Will you be trying the coffee scrub this fall?
