As tgin has grown from a book that was birthed from our owner Chris-Tia Donaldson and her want for black women to never have to feel the negativity she felt having natural hair in corporate America, into a full fledged natural hair company that is sold nationwide, one thing that has never wavered is our support for black hair care companies.
From our grass root inception at festivals and trade shows to partnering with household name retail stores, tgin has cheered on our competition so to speak in the natural hair community from the very beginning. Seeing other black owned natural hair companies more as allies than rivals and recognizing that every win for them was a win for us and all of the women of color who had been overlooked by the beauty industry for years.
