10 Ways to Tie a Headscarf

Headscarves are a great styling tool especially for the winter months–protecting your ends from the harsh weather with an added bonus of extra warmth! It’s best to have an assortment of different sizes, shapes, and colors to accommodate any style and complete any outfit. These are 10 simple yet stunning head scarf styles perfect for wrapping up your natural hair and sealing your ends while still looking fly enough to be seen in public.

1. Top knot

Wrap the scarf around your head, gathering the excess at the top of your forehead. Wrap it around itself and tie or pin to create a knot.

2. Full head wrap

Wrap the scarf so that it covers all of your hair. Then tie a small knot on the side, tucking in excess.

3. Turban headband 

With either two small scarves, or one extra long scarf, loop the scarvearound itself in the front and tie at the back.

4. Head scarf with bangs

Wrap the scarf around your hair as normal, leaving out a large portion of curly bangs at the front.

5. Braided Twillies

Tie a twillie scarf into your braid(s) and style in a cute updo or crown.

6. Floppy Bow with Braided Bangs

Leaving out braided bangs, wrap the scarf around all of your hair, tying an oversized bow at the front.

7. Thick Headband 

Tie the scarf around your head like a headband and tie a floppy bow at the top.

8. Roll and Tuck

Style your hair first in a high pouf or oversized high bun. Then wrap the scarf around your hair looping it around the back and tucking/pinning at the nape of your neck.

9. Thin Twillie Headband

Tie a think scarf around your head and tie a side bow. This looks great on updos, puffs, and high ponytails.
