With so many phenomenal black brands, it was hard to narrow it down to just 10! We wanted to include brands that we haven’t featured as often in the past and a few we are newly recognizing. Feel free to check out and support these phenomenal brands this month!

1.Brown Butter Beauty

Brown Butter Beauty is an artisan small-batch beauty lifestyle brand based in Brooklyn New York. The products are inspired by their deeply rooted love of nature and plant life. My herbal infused plant based self-care collection includes hair, body and skin care products. The company uses natural oils, roots, clays, botanicals, essential oils and safe fragrances sourced from around the world to create effective unique products with a spa feel.

2.White Space Jewelry

WHITE/SPACE is grounded in a belief that magnificence lies in elegance, not ostentation. They design for the modern woman – mothers, sisters, friends, confidants, rulebreakers, entrepreneurs, badasses – all gorgeously complex individuals and an endless source of inspiration. Pursuing sophistication in the unexpected, the collection is thoughtfully crafted with aesthetic influences hailing from mid-century architecture and ancient goldsmithing to minimalist art and sculpture. WHITE/SPACE explores the marriage of daring dichotomies—earthy and modern, streamlined and textured, restrained and sexy, delicate and strong.

3.Brandon Blackwood

The namesake brand was founded by Jamaican / Chinese designer Brandon Blackwood. Blackwood grew up in both New York and Tokyo, with shorter stays around Southern Asia. After completing school at Bard College, Brandon launched a four piece collection of  handbags, spring of 2015. The brand garnered immediate attention with press coverage in ELLE, Vogue, WWD, amongst other fashion publications.

From the initial four piece collection , Brandon Blackwood has grown into a contemporary  goods line with a solid range of handbags, trunks, backpacks, and small accessories.

4.RE ONA

RE ONA is a women’s ready to wear label offering transitional, functional and clean designs. They believe clothing should be effortless, minimal and comfortable. They wanted to create quality-made garments using soft fabrics that can easily transition from morning to night, that transcends from season to season.

Their design process encompasses minimal silhouettes ensuring comfort and quality at the forefront. They keep in mind how our clothing will make you feel and believe when you feel good with what you are wearing, you ultimately feel confident inside and out.

5.Brown Estate

The Brown Estate label was established officially in 1996 when they  harvested what would become their first bottling of Brown Zin. In January 2000 they debuted their first three vintages at the annual ZAP (Zinfandel Advocates & Producers) Grand Tasting in San Francisco. Fast forward to September 2016… when they bottled their  20th vintage.

In the meantime the business has grown slowly but surely as the brand has gained increasingly broad exposure to an extraordinarily diverse audience thanks to word of mouth IRL and on social media. To make the wines and hospitality experience more accessible, in April 2017 they opened their Brown Downtown tasting room on the re-emerging First Street corridor in the heart of downtown Napa (currently shuttered due to pandemic).
