When CEO of Thank God It’s Natural, Chris-Tia Donaldson, graduated from Harvard Law School and started her first job at a law firm, she faced a dilemma: How would she wear her hair?

The Mousse and Mask are the only products with dimethicone. Dimethicone is used to provide frizz-free results and extra shine. It provides great slip in order to detangle easily and it helps protect your hair against damage from thermal styling.

The only product in the Curls N’ Roses collection formulated with coconut oil is the Rose Water Hydrating Mask. The remaining products in the collection are coconut oil-free.

It’s made with lightweight moisture and maximum definition. A common complaint of many naturals, especially those with finer textures or low porosity hair,  is that products formulated for textured hair are often too heavy, don’t absorb or leave heavy product build-up. This line solves all of these issues. 

The Rose Water Curl Refresher was the eye-opening product that showed Chris-Tia and the team that there was a need for a lightweight solution to adding moisture and definition. Although Rose Water Curl Refresher gave us the idea to build Curls N Roses, we decided to keep Curl Refresher as is – because everyone loves it just the way it is. Whereas, we chose to add acai to the Curls N Roses line. Curls N Roses uses both rose water and acai berries to calm frizz and seal in moisture. Since Curls N Roses’ core ingredients include rose water and acai, the Rose Water Curl Refresher remained on a separate line.
